Content

An overview of micro simulation concepts, principles, and key updates in the latest version of TSIS-CORSIM.

Explore car-following, lane-changing, and gap acceptance models and their practical implementation in CORSIM micro simulator.

Deep dive into different types of signal controls: pre-timed, actuated, and coordinated actuated signal controls. This module includes a practical exercise on a one-intersection and a corridor example using the CORSIM micro simulator.

Understand the procedures for calibration and validation, how to adjust the micro simulation to match field conditions, and how to evaluate the scope of the project.

Hands-on exercise on creating and analyzing freeway segments with different conditions (basic freeway segment, merge, diverge, and weaving segment) using the CORSIM micro simulator.

Learn what to consider when reviewing micro simulation files, understand the impact of various factors on the simulation, and familiarize with both correct and incorrect simulation applications.
