PDHs
Upon completing the course, attendees are provided a certificate of completion and 8 PDHs.
Those who attend in-person courses are provided PDHs consistent with the course workload.

Learning Objectives
At the end of this course attendees will be able to:

• Understand key concepts of microsimulation: microscopic/mesoscopic/macroscopic;
• List strengths and limitations of microsimulation tools
• Determine whether microsimulation is an appropriate analysis tool
• Understand the definitions and impacts of driver behavior settings, such as car-following, lane changing and gap acceptance
• Understand the required inputs for microsimulation analyses and learn about common modeling mistakes
• Use TSIS-CORSIM Software to analyze different road elements (freeways and urban streets)
• Extract TSIS-CORSIM reports and interpret performance measures
• Understand steps and best practices to review microsimulation models

Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this course.
Attendees must meet minimum technology requirements such as having a computer with a steady internet connection and access to basic applications such as Zoom and a PDF reader. The use of TSIS-CORSIM is required for hands-on exercises. A time-limited version of the software can be provided to attendees upon request.

A comprehensive workbook is provided for the lectures. The use of TSIS-CORSIM is required for the classes. A time-limited version can be provided to students upon request.
